SensorSuperElement
A sensor attached to a mesh node of a superelement, which measures one of the output variables of the superelement at that mesh node.
Parameters
The parameters of the item; in a dictionary, its type is ‘SuperElement’:
name |
type |
size |
default |
description |
|---|---|---|---|---|
name |
String |
‘’ |
sensor’s unique name |
|
bodyNumber |
ObjectIndex |
invalid (-1) |
body (=object) number to which sensor is attached to |
|
meshNodeNumber |
UInt |
invalid (-1) |
mesh node number, which is a local node number with in the object (starting with 0); the node number may represent a real Node in mbs, or may be virtual and reconstructed from the object coordinates such as in ObjectFFRFreducedOrder; must be given: the default is only a placeholder |
|
writeToFile |
Bool |
True |
True: write sensor output to file; flag is ignored (interpreted as False), if fileName=’’ |
|
fileName |
String |
‘’ |
directory and file name for sensor file output; empty: no file is written; a relative name is placed in |
|
outputVariableType |
OutputVariableType |
OutputVariableType::_None |
OutputVariableType for sensor, based on the output variables available for the mesh nodes (see special section for super element output variables, e.g, in ObjectFFRFreducedOrder, Super element output variables) |
|
storeInternal |
Bool |
False |
true: store sensor data in memory (faster, but may consume large amounts of memory); false: internal storage not available |
|
visualization |
VSensorSuperElement |
parameters for visualization of item |
Visualization parameters
The parameters of VSensorSuperElement, given as visualization:
name |
type |
size |
default |
description |
|---|---|---|---|---|
show |
Bool |
True |
set true, if item is shown in visualization and false if it is not shown |
Drawing
Drawn as all sensors.
Detailed description
Attached to
The superelement bodyNumber - ObjectFFRF, ObjectFFRFreducedOrder, ObjectGenericODE2 - at its
mesh node meshNodeNumber, a node number local to the object, starting with 0. The mesh node may be
a node of the system (ObjectFFRF) or exist only in the object and be reconstructed from its
coordinates (ObjectFFRFreducedOrder).
Measures
outputVariableType is one of the output variables the superelement provides for its mesh nodes, as
its page lists them - the section on superelement output variables of ObjectFFRFreducedOrder, e.g.
the displacement or position of the mesh node in the local or global frame.
Mini example
#a mesh node of a super element, here of a ObjectGenericODE2 of two free mass points
n0 = mbs.AddNode(NodePoint(referenceCoordinates=[0,0,0]))
n1 = mbs.AddNode(NodePoint(referenceCoordinates=[1,0,0]))
oSuper = mbs.AddObject(ObjectGenericODE2(nodeNumbers=[n0,n1], massMatrix=np.eye(6)))
mbs.AddLoad(LoadForceVector(markerNumber=mbs.AddMarker(MarkerNodePosition(nodeNumber=n1)), loadVector=[1,0,0]))
sMesh = mbs.AddSensor(SensorSuperElement(bodyNumber=oSuper, meshNodeNumber=1,
outputVariableType=exu.OutputVariableType.Displacement,
storeInternal=True, writeToFile=False))
mbs.Assemble()
mbs.SolveDynamic()
#mesh node 1: x = F/(2m)*t^2 at t=1
exu.sys['testResult'] = mbs.GetSensorValues(sMesh)[0] #0.5
